Last Minute Reminders

Saturday is almost here... are you ready?
Parents... Make sure to continue to check the blog during travel. We hope that we'll be able to update it.
Parents... Keep a hard copy of the phone tree so that when it's started you keep it going. We don't want anyone left out.
Delegates... Don't forget that you will be asked to orally share your research expertise with the group at some point during travel. You might want to bone up on some facts about your topic.
Important reminders:
Airport
  • Saturday, June 22
  • You will need to park and get to the check-in area for departures so make sure you allow enough time.
  • Eat a big breakfast before arriving at the airport :o)
Attire
  • long pants (khakis)
  • People to People maroon polo shirt
  • closed toe comfortable walking shoes (ex: sneakers w/socks)
  • lanyard
  • money belt or pouch with money, credit/debit card
  • wristwatch 
Luggage
***Fill out and attach the People to People luggage tags to your backpack and suitcase.
Carry-on backpack reminders:  (refer to packing list)
  • light jacket (gets chilly in airport and airplane)
  • travel journal & pen
  • camera w/ charger
  • phone w/ charger (if bringing)
  • adapter and converter for China
  • complete change of clothing (in case luggage gets misplaced)
  • list of suitcase contents and description
  • personal hygiene items (3-1-1 rule - one, quart-size baggie with liquids/gels 3 oz. or less each in it) - you will be asked to have this bag out separately before we go through security.
Checked luggage reminders:  (refer to packing list for itemized list)
  • if you bring jeans, please remember no holes
  • gardening gloves for service project
  • red delegation t-shirt (if you didn't purchase one please bring a plain red t-shirt for those days)
